What are the Materials used?
Our material of choice is Porcelain Veneers; however, Direct Composite Veneers, Porcelain crowns, Zirconia reinforced crowns are chosen as per the case and economic consensus.
What are Porcelain Veneers?
Porcelain veneers are ultra thin ceramic that is permanently bonded to the tooth just like artificial nails. They improve the esthetic look of the tooth, and merge and behave like a part of the original tooth.
Who is an ideal candidate for Porcelain Veneers?
If you have mal-aligned upper front teeth with spacing or crowding, smile designing with veneers would be a minimalistic approach to correct the same. Discoloured bluish black or brownish teeth which stop you from smiling freely, veneers can give you not just beautiful white teeth, but also the confidence to smile. Once we identify you as a suitable candidate for smile design, the treatment would include 3-4 appointments. We always like to blend the digital world with our planning to generate a virtual plan before starting the treatment. We certainly will assess your dental concern, budget and ideal esthetic outcome to create a personalised treatment plan.Any treatment involves just 10% of the work by the dentist and 90% by the patient. You need to ensure you keep up for regular cleaning and maintenance appointments. However, we know our patients are very busy in their daily lives. Hence we provide regular reminders for the scheduled maintenance appointments.You need to be careful as you may not be able to bite into an apple like before, because even diamonds need to kept safe to hold their shine. Highly staining food which is a part of the Indian diet need to be followed by thorough rinsing of the mouth, to avoid staining. However, staining is a rare occurrence.
